Balm Ki Soude

The story

I discovered the power of so-called “wild” plants in 2013, even though I had always been a gardener… a world full of beautiful surprises and discoveries… Here is the story of the Ki Soude Balm, used for healing care and available for purchase during my massage sessions.

A horse had the brilliant idea of stepping on my foot and fracturing a bone. The owner of the nature center I was staying at used to make her own “comfrey” balm. My fracture healed in less than a month!!

Curious, I started doing research in 2018, found a spot with comfrey growing at high altitude, made my own balm, and then developed my own recipe by including nettle, because plants work in synergy.
The following year, I infused everything together with my homemade arnica oil—a powerful combination, extremely effective for all kinds of conditions (sprains, tendinitis, fractures, bruises, blows, bumps, and even mosquito bites).
A maceration lasting nearly two months, warmed by the sun, in organic French extra virgin olive oil.

How it’s made: weigh the oil, add beeswax, gently heat the mixture in a container, and pour into jars… (150g of infused oil, 15g of wax), without essential oils to avoid potential contraindications & sensitivities—and so you can add the ones you like, if you wish!

I tested the balm on my family and friends, then it spread by word of mouth among friends, and later, to my clients.
In 2023, I took the leap and started selling at the Pain de Chibon market in Les Houches, on Wednesday afternoons, after looking into the relevant regulations.

Over the years and seasons, I’ve learned and understood the effects of certain anti-inflammatory plants.
Sometimes I add yarrow (Achillea millefolium), which stops bleeding. The base and the love stay the same—a recipe that still works…
